William S. Ayer
Biography
Bill Ayer, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Alaska Air Group, the parent company of Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air, and chairman and chief executive officer of Alaska Airlines, serves as chairman of the boards of Puget Sound Energy and Puget Energy.
He began his career at Alaska Air Group more than 25 years ago. Ayer was appointed a director of Puget Energy and Puget Sound Energy in January 2005. He also serves on the boards of the Museum of Flight and Angel Flight West, and serves on the University of Washington Business School Advisory Board. |

Andrew Chapman
Biography
Andrew Chapman, managing director in the MacCap Funds division of the Macquarie Group, is a member of the boards of Puget Sound Energy and Puget Energy.
With more than 26 years of experience managing and financing infrastructure in the United States, Chapman oversees a variety of utility assets for Macquarie. Prior to joining the company in 2006, Chapman held executive positions with American Water, the National Association of Water Companies and was chief financial officer and president of Elizabethtown Water Company, a NYSE-listed water utility. |

Melanie J. Dressel
Biography
Melanie Dressel, President and Chief Executive Officer of Tacoma-based Columbia Bank and its parent company, Columbia Banking System, Inc., serves on the boards of Puget Sound Energy and Puget Energy.
At Columbia Bank, Dressel is responsible for more than 100 branches in Washington and Oregon. She has more than 35 years experience as a banking executive in the Pacific Northwest. Dressel also serves on the boards of the Washington Bankers Association, Washington Sate Historical Society, the Council for a Greater Tacoma, ArtsFund and Washington Roundtable, among other civic, charitable and business organizations. |

Kimberly J. Harris
Biography
Kimberly Harris, president and CEO of Puget Sound Energy, is a member of the boards of Puget Sound Energy and Puget Energy.
She has deep industry experience in energy resources, energy efficiency and the multiple facets of energy regulation. Harris also serves on the Governor’s Opportunity Scholarship Board and is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Gas Association, the Washington Roundtable and the American Red Cross of King and Kitsap counties. |

Benjamin Hawkins
Biography
Benjamin Hawkins, principal of Infrastructure Investments for Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo) serves on the boards of Puget Sound Energy and Puget Energy.
Prior to joining AIMCo in 2007, Hawkins held several positions with EPCOR Utilities, a Canadian power and water utility company where he was involved in the development and acquisition of power projects in the US and Canada. Hawkins holds an MBA from the University of Alberta. |

Alan W. James
Biography
Alan James, senior managing director of New York-based Macquarie Capital (USA) Inc., serves on the boards of Puget Sound Energy and Puget Energy.
With expertise in regulated utilities and the energy sector, James has extensive experience in financing. Prior to joining Macquarie in 2005, James held executive positions with Citigroup, Deutsche Bank and Exxon Mobil. He has successfully led more than $25 billion of transactions in the past 10 years, principally in the energy sector. |

Alan Kadic
Biography
Alan Kadic, senior principal in the infrastructure group of the Private Investments department at the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, serves on the boards of Puget Sound Energy and Puget Energy.
Prior to joining the CPP Investment Board in 2007, Kadic held positions with Macquarie Bank Limited in Toronto, ING Barings in Amsterdam, and McCormick Rankin, a Toronto engineering consulting firm. A registered professional engineer, Kadic also serves on the board of Wales and West, a natural gas distribution company in the United Kingdom. |

Christopher J. Leslie
Biography
Chris Leslie, senior managing director in the MacCap Funds division of the Macquarie Group and chief executive officer of Macquarie Infrastructure Partners I and II, is a member of the boards of Puget Sound Energy and Puget Energy.
With more than 16 years of experience in infrastructure, Leslie’s background includes the development and acquisition of natural gas pipelines, natural gas and electric utilities and distribution systems, toll roads, airports, heliports, fixed-base operations, water and wastewater systems, airport car parks, cell phone towers and power generation assets. Leslie, based in New York, has helped expand Macquarie’s infrastructure business in the United States. Under his leadership, Leslie has led a number of significant North American transactions in the utility sector. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. |

Mary O. McWilliams
Biography
Mary McWilliams, executive director of Puget Sound Health Alliance, a nationally recognized health care community collaborative based in Seattle, serves on the boards of Puget Sound Energy and Puget Energy.
Recognized as a top leader in the regional business industry, McWilliams has more than 25 years of experience as President/CEO of health plans in the Pacific Northwest. She also serves on the boards of the Seattle branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, Greater Seattle Chamber of Commerce and the Safe Crossings Foundation. |

Herbert B. Simon
Biography
Herbert Simon, member since 1985 of Simon Johnson LLC and its predecessor company, a real estate and venture capital projects investment company located in Tacoma, Wash., has served as a director of Puget Sound Energy since March 2006. Simon also serves as a regent of the University of Washington. |

Chris Trumpy
Biography
Chris Trumpy, chair of Pacific Carbon Trust and former chair of the British Columbia Investment Management Corporation and Land and Water BC, is a member of the boards of Puget Sound Energy and Puget Energy.
With more than 30 years of experience in public service, Trumpy’s background includes developing Crown Corporation governance frameworks, work on compensation disclosure and performance measures, and identifying solutions to long-standing fiscal and policy problems, including carbon emissions. Based in British Columbia, Trumpy is a certified general accountant. |

Mark Wiseman
Biography
Mark Wiseman, executive vice president, Investments, of the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, serves on the boards of Puget Sound Energy and Puget Energy.
He is responsible for the management of all of the investment activities of the CPP Investment Board. The CPP Investment Board invests the $150 billion CPP reserve fund to help secure future pensions of 17 million Canadians. Prior to his current role, Wiseman headed the Private Investments department. Wiseman joined the CPP Investment Board in 2005. Previously, he led the private equity fund and co-investment program at the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, served as vice president at the private equity firm Harrowston Inc., and spent several years as a corporate lawyer with Sullivan & Cromwell, practicing in New York and Paris. Wiseman also served as a law clerk to Madam Justice Beverly McLachlin at the Supreme Court of Canada. Wiseman was a Fulbright Scholar at Yale University where he earned a master’s degree in law. |
