Project Overview
Due to anticipated growth, we are working to upgrade our natural gas system in Thurston County to meet our customers’ current and future needs. We will be building 1.2 miles of 12-inch and 4.0 miles of 8-inch natural gas pipeline between Elizabeth Avenue (18th Avenue SE) in Olympia and Draham Street NE in Lacey. PSE’s natural gas system works as a large network; main line upgrades help stabilize the system in adjacent communities, as well as support our entire region.
How does natural gas get to my home or business?
Natural gas is a fossil fuel composed almost entirely of methane. Interstate pipelines transport natural gas to regional natural gas systems, where it is metered and delivered through a network of local mains, service lines and, ultimately, to customer homes and businesses. Natural gas provides 13 percent of the state's energy.
Committed to keeping you informed
PSE will continue to provide updates to the community. We will notify residents who live near the project area when construction will occur. It is our aim to complete the work with as little disruption as possible.
