Energy Supply - Electricity - Thermal Power
A clean, reliable resource
PSE owns eight natural gas-fired power plants that supply electricity to the utility’s growing customer base. The newest of these plants, acquired in late 2008, is the 310-megawatt Mint Farm Generating Station in Longview, Wash. PSE's eight gas-fired plants have a combined generating capacity of approximately 1,600 megawatts.
In addition to the Mint Farm plant in Cowlitz County, PSE’s power-generating facilities are in Pierce County (Frederickson, with two facilities), Skagit County (Fredonia), Klickitat County (Goldendale), and Whatcom County (Whitehorn, Encogen and Sumas).
