All of the renewable energy PSE Green Power customers purchase is produced here in the Pacific Northwest and fed into the regional grid.

This product is sold to match 100% of your estimated electricity usage. Alternatively, this product is sold in blocks of 160 kilowatt hours (kWh). The product will be made up of the following new renewable resources averaged annually.

1. These figures reflect the power PSE contracted to provide in 2009 and anticipated changes to the portfolio in 2010. Actual figures may vary according to resource availability. We will annually report to you the actual resource mix of the electricity you purchased during the preceding year.

2. New renewables come from generation facilities that first began commercial operation on or after Jan. 1, 1997.

For comparison, the current average mix of resources supplying Puget Sound Energy includes: Large Hydroelectric (41%), Coal (36%), Natural Gas (20%), Nuclear (1%), and other (2%) based on 2008 fuel mix reported to the State of Washington Office of Trade and Economic Development.

The average PSE home uses 1000 kWh per month.
