Puget Sound Energy Foundation to award $119,000 in charitable grants to 42 local organizations as part of first funding round in 2009
BELLEVUE, Wash. (June 11, 2009) – The Puget Sound Energy Foundation today announced that it will distribute $119,000 to local charitable organizations throughout Washington as part of its first of two funding rounds in 2009. Ranging from $1,000 to $20,000, the grants are awarded based on a competitive review process to qualifying 501(c) (3) charitable organizations in 14 counties in Puget Sound Energy’s service and operations area.

PSE distributes 10 million CFL bulbs to electric customers
BELLEVUE, Wash. (June 8, 2009) – Puget Sound Energy announced today that the utility has now distributed more than 10 million free and discounted compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs to its more than 1 million electric customers in Western Washington since the residential lighting program launched in 2002.

PSE to make major enhancements at Snoqualmie Falls Hydro Project
BELLEVUE, Wash. (June 4, 2009) – Federal regulators this week issued Puget Sound Energy a key amendment to the utility’s operating license for the Snoqualmie Falls Hydroelectric Project, enabling PSE to move forward with major capital improvements at the 111-year-old power-generating facility 30 miles east of Seattle on the Cascade Mountains’ western slope.
