Over the past five years, PSE has donated more than $235,000 to Kitsap County's charitable organizations — without any cost to rate payers — through our corporate giving program and the Puget Sound Energy Foundation. Members of TeamPSE, our employee volunteer program, donate many hours of personal time and lots of energy to support the Kitsap County community. We've also given over $5.5 million in energy efficiency grants and rebates to our Kitsap County customers.
Send Hunger Packing
PSE is proud to provide financial support and join other Kitsap-area businesses in an effort to Send Hunger Packing, a coalition which supports all eight Kitsap County food banks. Each year, our offices serve as collection sites for donations of non-perishable food that provides assistance to local individuals and families in need.
Bremerton Armed Forces Day Festival
A long-time supporter of the Bremerton Armed Forces Day Festival — the largest and longest-running Armed Forces Day parade in the nation, PSE was honored to host the Heroes BBQ at the 2013 parade where we grilled and served 3,000 hot dogs to veterans, active duty members and attendees.
The American Red Cross
The 2013 West Sound Heroes Breakfast honored the tradition of heroism by recognizing local individuals whose extraordinary acts of courage or kindness make them a hero. Learn more about our partnership with the American Red Cross and Safe in the Sound.
YWCA of Kitsap County
There's no question that the welfare of all Kitsap County residents is important to us. That is why we annually support the YWCA's efforts to ensure the personal safety, rights, welfare and dignity of those experiencing domestic abuse. PSE is working with the Y to build partnerships and community awareness for positive change.
Other Kitsap County organizations we support
Bloedel Reserve, Bremerton Blackberry Festival, Harrison Foundation, Holly Ridge Center, Kitsap Community Foundation, Kitsap Mental Health, and Olympic College Foundation, just to name a few.
Energy efficiency grants and rebates
Over the past five years in Kitsap County, we have distributed more than $4.8 million in commercial business grants and over $750,000 in residential rebates.
