PSE cares about the communities in Thurston County
Over the past five years, PSE has donated more than $246,000 to Thurston County's charitable organizations — without any cost to rate payers — through our corporate giving program and the Puget Sound Energy Foundation. Members of TeamPSE, our employee volunteer program, donate many hours of personal time and lots of energy to support the Thurston County community. We've also provided over $11 million in energy efficiency grants and rebates to our Thurston County customers.
Capital Land Trust
Every year we support the Capital Land Trust's efforts to preserve important terrain in the southern Puget Sound region, such as shorelines, estuaries, prairies and wetlands. These preservation efforts dovetail nicely with our fish, bird and habitat conservation work.
Plug-in Olympia
We stepped up with an initial $5,000 contribution to help Plug-in Olympia educate the public about zero-emissions electric vehicles. This clean-energy movement aligns with our corporate ethos and we're happy to give it a push forward.
Other Thurston County organizations we sponsor
City of Lacey Alternative Fuel Fair, Environmental Education Association of Washington, Safe Place, Tumwater Education Foundation, Bucoda Community Foundation and Capital Playhouse, just to name a few.
Energy efficiency grants and rebates
Over the past five years we're contributed over $9 million in commercial business energy efficiency grants and more than $2 million in residential rebates in Thurston County.
