Carbon Monoxide Safety
If any fuel-burning appliance, such as your natural gas furnace, operates without enough oxygen it creates carbon monoxide — a poisonous, colorless, tasteless and odorless gas.
Make sure your natural gas appliances are maintained and operated according to manufacturer's recommendations. If you suspect carbon monoxide exposure, call 911.
According to local health officials symptoms of carbon monoxide exposure may be:
- Headache
- Dizziness
- Fatigue
- Weakness
- Confusion
- Nausea
