Commercial Rebates, Grants and Programs

Puget Sound Energy's streamlined rebates offer a simple and easy-to-use way to receive funding for common, energy-efficiency improvements. We have more than a dozen rebate programs with over a hundred options for commonly-applied efficiency upgrades. Have your application approved, install the equipment and send us the required documentation. Then we'll send you a check.

Rebates for lighting and lighting controls

Instant rebates for commercial lighting
Small business lighting: $3 to $190 for various projects from simple bulb replacement to fixture retrofits
Commercial CFLs: $3 to $12 for each qualified CFL
LED lamps: $10 to $25 for each qualified LED lamp
Ceramic Metal Halide (CMH) lamps: $25 for each qualified CMH lamp
Lighting controls: $40 to $80 for occupancy sensors and lighting timers
LED exit signs: $50 for each exit sign replaced with a qualified LED exit sign
LED traffic signals: $5 to $20 for traffic signal light replacements to LED signals
Reduced Wattage T8 Lighting for the Whole Building: $1 for each qualifying T8 lamp that replaces an existing 32-watt T8 lamp

Rebates for HVAC equipment upgrades and services

Premium HVAC service program: $360 to $1,310 paid to PSE approved HVAC contractors for advanced service performed on qualifying equipment
High-efficiency HVAC units for new construction: $30 per ton for units that meet or exceed CEE standards
High-efficiency HVAC replacement units: $100 to $550 per ton for units that meet or exceed CEE standards
Electronically commutated motor (ECM): $0.12 per square foot served
Variable speed drive (VSD): $100 per driven HP for HVAC fan motors and closed-loop HVAC pump motors
Seven-day programmable thermostat: Up to $50 rebate (rebate discontinued on January 1, 2011)

Rebates for appliances and equipment

High-efficiency commercial clothes washer: $200 per qualified machine
High-efficiency kitchen equipment: Up to $2,000 for qualifying commercial kitchen equipment

Portable classroom control rebates: Receive rebates of 100 percent of cost, up to $350, per 365-day programmable thermostat
PC Power Management rebate: $8 per workstation for installing software that controls the power management settings
