Natural Gas Heating Systems:
ENERGY STAR® Qualified Furnace Rebate
Notice to our customers:
Thank you for your continued commitment to energy efficiency in our region. In anticipation of Puget Sound Energy’s 2012 tariff cycle, it is important to note an upcoming change to PSE’s natural gas forced-air furnace rebate qualification for existing single family homes.
Beginning January 1, 2012, PSE will increase rebate eligibility criteria for natural gas forced-air furnaces to require installation of ENERGY STAR qualified equipment with a 95 percent AFUE rating or better.
To qualify for PSE’s existing 2011 natural gas forced-air furnace rebate, you must install ENERGY STAR qualified equipment with a 90 percent AFUE rating or better on or before December 31, 2011, and submit appropriate rebate application to PSE no later than January 31, 2012.
Please note: All rebates are tariffed services and are subject to change or termination without prior notice.
PSE makes it easy for you to buy a new ENERGY STAR qualified natural gas, forced-air furnace. First, there's our $250 rebate. Second, there's the comfort of knowing that your new energy-efficient natural gas furnace will keep saving you money all winter long through lower energy bills.
