Insulation Instant Rebates

If your home just never seems comfortable enough no matter how high you blast the heat or A/C, you may need to weatherize. Insulation is one of the easiest ways to increase comfort, conserve energy and save money.

Luckily, PSE offers up to $1,700 in instant rebates for the following weatherization measures:

Floor insulation: 50 percent of the cost, up to $400
Attic insulation (R-11 to R-49): 50 percent of the cost, up to $400
Attic insulation (R-19 to R-49): 50 percent of the cost, up to $200
Wall insulation: 50 percent of the cost, up to $400
Duct insulation and sealing: 50 percent of the cost, up to $500

Eligibility and guidelines

Insulation instant rebates are available to PSE customers:

In homes primarily heated with natural gas* or electricity from PSE
Living in a single-family property with four units or less
Who use an independent contractor pre-authorized by PSE
Living in homes built before 1990

How to receive an insulation instant rebate:

Call a PSE Energy Advisor at 1-800-562-1482, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Get your questions answered and learn if you qualify.
Get a no-obligation estimate. If you qualify, your PSE Energy Advisor will connect you with an independent weatherization contractor authorized by PSE to do the work and to provide PSE’s instant rebates. The estimate will include the instant rebates. You will not need to submit any paperwork or wait for any rebate reimbursements.
Schedule the work with the contractor.
Enjoy the increased comfort and efficiency of your Re-Energized home.

*Contractor must also test the carbon monoxide levels and install a free CO alarm in homes using natural gas.

Pre-authorized contractors

To qualify for PSE's instant rebates, insulation work must be completed by an independent contractor, pre-authorized by PSE.

Financing Options

Available for PSE residential energy-efficient equipment retrofits and/or natural gas conversions.

Please note that PSE is not involved in evaluating the weatherization measures that may be suggested by the Authorized Contractor to a program participant.

The Authorized Contractor and its employees are not employees of PSE, and PSE will not be supervising the work performed by the Authorized Contractor for program participants. As such, any issues related to the work undertaken for the program participant should be addressed directly to the Authorized Contractor because PSE shall not be responsible in any way for proper completion of the work or proper performance of any product acquired by a program participant under this weatherization program. By accepting the discount, program participants agree to these terms and assume the risk of any loss or damage(s) that they may suffer in connection with failure to achieve energy savings.
