If you are digging deeper than 12 inches anywhere in the state of Washington, including on your own property,  you must have your dig site reviewed for any underground utility lines. It's free. Simply visit the Utilities Underground Location Center at http://www.callbeforeyoudig.com or call 1-800-424-5555, or dial 8-1-1, two business days before you plan on digging.
