Program Changes

Thanks to your commitment to energy efficiency in our region, Puget Sound Energy’s conservation programs have already realized great success in 2010. Given this success, and the continuing availability of the $1500 Federal Tax Credit and other Federal Stimulus programs, PSE will make program changes and adjust rebate levels.

Effective Wednesday, June 16th, 2010, the following changes to PSE’s Single Family Existing efficiency programs will go into effect:

Suspended rebates:

Window upgrades for fully insulated homes

Modified rebates:

ENERGY STAR® qualified natural gas storage water heater: must install ENERGY STAR qualified equipment with an Energy Factor of .65 or higher
ENERGY STAR qualified natural gas forced-air furnace: $100
Floor insulation: 50 percent of the cost, up to $200
Attic insulation: 50 percent of the cost, up to $200
Wall insulation: 50 percent of the cost, up to $200
