Puget Sound Energy Foundation
Puget Sound Energy Foundation takes pride in making our communities more disaster ready.
Learn more about our 5-year, $1 million effort to award generators to organizations that can be used during emergencies.
In addition to providing grants the foundation also supports PSE employees in their community involvement by matching their donations of time and money.
Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness
The foundation is particularly interested in promoting public safety and emergency preparedness. We face threats from wind, floods, snow, earthquakes, forest fires, and more - we want our community partners to know how to be safe and prepared when facing these natural disasters
PSE's corporate contributions are funded exclusively from PSE's owners and employees.
The foundation is a nonprofit entity operating independently of PSE and our parent company, Puget Energy. A $15 million endowment came from a portion of the proceeds from Puget Energy's sale of an unregulated subsidiary in 2006. The foundation also received a $5 million investor contribution in 2009 upon completion of our merger with Puget Holdings LLC.
Application deadlines are April 1 and October 1 of each year.
