Enroll in Carbon Balance to support regional projects that reduce or capture greenhouse gases. For as little as $3 per month, each carbon offset “block” that you purchase represents reducing greenhouse gases equivalent to 400 pounds of carbon dioxide.

Participate in Carbon Balance to:

  • Demonstrate sustainability leadership to your customers and employees
  • Support regional carbon reduction projects that are paving the way to a clean energy future

Trusted and certified

Carbon Balance is a Green-e® Climate certified program, ensuring your individual monthly contribution supports regional projects producing carbon offsets that meet the highest industry standards. Purchasing carbon offsets sourced from certified* environmentally responsible energy projects in the Northwest allows Carbon Balance to support local programs, such as:

The Winston Creek Forest Carbon Project, Lewis County, WA

Winston Creek is an innovative forest management project, the largest forest carbon project on the voluntary market in Washington State. The forest owner, Port Blakely, seeks to address greenhouse gas emissions by increasing the ability of its forest to capture carbon.

By using environmentally sustainable practices that involve extending forest harvest rotation age by twenty years, Port Blakely is doubling the biomass of its forest. Ensuring these trees aren't cut down in their carbon reduction prime provides older, larger trees with a much greater capacity to store carbon dioxide and make oxygen.

*The Winston Creek Forest Carbon Project offsets are certified through the American Carbon Registry.
