Puget Sound Energy works year-round to prepare for wildfire season, storms and other natural disasters and we are committed to helping customers prepare for emergencies that may disrupt energy service. Preparedness and safety tips
- Make sure your PSE account contact information is up to date.
- Have a plan, build a kit and learn more about what to expect during a Public Safety Power Shutoff.
- If you have a medical device that relies on power, enroll in Life Support status.
- Stay at least 35 feet (the length of a school bus) away from any wire on the ground.
- If you suspect that there may be a natural gas leak, don’t hesitate – leave the area then call 911 and PSE.
