Severe flooding in our service area continues to create challenges for power restoration. Flooded roads, landslides, and unstable ground conditions are limiting safe access to damaged equipment for our repair crews. Our natural gas infrastructure may also be affected.

We have temporarily removed Estimated Time of Restoration information from our outage map for affected areas until we can safely assess damage and begin repairs. When our crews gain access and can start assessing damage, they will provide information to be reflected on the outage map as to when to expect restored service. As weather allows, we are using drones and helicopters to patrol unreachable areas by air.

While weather conditions are currently calm, another round of rain and wind is expected on Monday, which may impact our crews' ability to continue restoration work safely as well as result in more outages. We are closely monitoring the situation and will adjust our response as needed. We will have crews ready to respond as any new outages occur.

We appreciate your patience during this time. The safety of our crews and customers is our top priority, and we are committed to restoring power as quickly and safely as possible. We will continue providing updates as our restoration efforts progress.

Report and track power outages online

To meet goals for providing clean, sustainable and affordable energy to all of our customers, PSE launched a Time-of-Use (TOU) pilot program in 2023.

Through the pilot, a limited number of residential electric customers were recruited to enroll in the two-year program to study the impacts of encouraging them to shift when and how they use energy in their homes. The purpose of the pilot is to help us develop a time-of-use rate structure that can effectively shift power use away from peak demand times – to maintain reliability, conserve energy, and potentially drive cost savings for you.

While open recruitment has ended, some residential electric customers may still enroll in a TOU rate plan, pending limited availability. If you already enrolled in the TOU pilot program, you can log in to your PSE account to see more details about your TOU rate plan.

Time-of-Use

The pilot program is now fully subscribed for the purpose of the study. Some residential electric customers may still enroll in a TOU rate plan, however, pending limited availability.

Time-of-Use
When and how you use electricity matters

Time-of-use (TOU) rates are an easy way for electric customers who have the flexibility to shift when they use energy-intensive appliances and electric heating/cooling systems away from “peak” periods to save money on their monthly bill. Peak periods are typically from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays when demand and costs are highest. On a TOU rate plan, customers will also pay less for electricity during “off-peak” periods and on weekends and holidays.

TOU rate options will be available to more electric customers after completion of the pilot program. Find more ways to increase your efficiency, manage your use and lower your bill at pse.com/lower.
