Fire Weather Forecasted

Due to current weather forecasts, a Red Flag Warning has been issued for the lower Kittitas Valley and Lower Columbia Basin. As part of PSE’s wildfire safe operations, we are turning on system settings that are more sensitive to potential hazards. These settings will stay in place as long as high wildfire risk conditions are present.

Enhanced Powerline Settings are designed to help keep you safe, but they may result in unplanned power outages. This is not a Public Safety Power Shutoff, where we proactively turn off power in advance of severe weather.

For more information or to report a power outage, visit PSE’s Outage map.

alert

Safety first. Never touch or go within 35 feet of downed power lines because they might be energized. Call PSE at 1-888-225-5773 or 911 to report problems.

Maintaining a reliable energy system

We know our customers count on us to provide safe and reliable energy. It’s not a responsibility we take lightly. Take a look at the different ways in which we’re working to maintain, upgrade, and modernize our energy infrastructure.

Electric system

PSE crews are hitting the streets every day of the year to provide you with safe and reliable electric service.

Natural gas system

Learn how we maintain and inspect the PSE natural gas system — interconnected across some 2,900 square miles over six counties.

We inspect and trim trees along 2,500-3,000 miles of power lines every year.

Undergrounding overhead power lines is an important tool to improve reliability. Nearly 60% of PSE's electric distribution lines are already underground.

Tree wire, also known as covered conductors, are a type of specially coated power line that can reduce branch related outages by more than 95%.
