Fire Weather Forecasted

Due to current weather forecasts calling for strong thunderstorms, localized high winds and low humidities across the Kittitas Valley, Enhanced Powerline Settings (EPS) are expected to remain in place in this area until high-risk conditions improve, currently forecasted for Saturday night.

We’ve also added additional staffing for our first responders and our operations center.

These settings are designed to help keep you safe, but they may result in unplanned power outages. This is NOT a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS), where we proactively turn off power in advance of severe weather.

For more information or to report a power outage, visit PSE’s Outage map.

alert

Safety first. Never touch or go within 35 feet of downed power lines because they might be energized. Call PSE at 1-888-225-5773 or 911 to report problems.

Our Electric Vehicle Test Drive Contest has ended. Thank you to everyone who entered. To stay up to date on future EV contests from PSE – as well as EV-related news, offerings and more – sign up for our Up & Go Electric newsletter.

Take an EV test drive and you could win an e-bike

Electric cars and bicycles can save you money while helping the planet, but they’re also a lot of fun to drive. That’s why we’re encouraging you to get out there and experience going electric for yourself.

Enter to win – it’s easy!

  1. Visit a local electric car or bicycle dealership or retailer anytime this January and take a test drive or ride.
  2. Send an email to evtestdrive@pse.com before Feb. 1 and include the model you took for a spin, the dealership or retailer you went to, and a photo from your experience.

That’s it! We’ll enter you into a random drawing to win an electric bicycle from Rad Power Bikes and notify a winner by Feb. 7.

Transportation Electrification Plan
Is an e-bike an EV?

Yes! An electric bicycle is absolutely an electric vehicle and totally counts for this contest. E-bikes can be a more affordable way to go electric and are great for zipping around town. If you test ride an e-bike, just follow the same steps above to enter the Electric Vehicle Test Drive Contest.
