Fire Weather Forecasted

Due to current weather forecasts, a Red Flag Warning has been issued for the lower Kittitas Valley and Lower Columbia Basin. As part of PSE’s wildfire safe operations, we are turning on system settings that are more sensitive to potential hazards. These settings will stay in place as long as high wildfire risk conditions are present.

Enhanced Powerline Settings are designed to help keep you safe, but they may result in unplanned power outages. This is not a Public Safety Power Shutoff, where we proactively turn off power in advance of severe weather.

For more information or to report a power outage, visit PSE’s Outage map.

alert

Safety first. Never touch or go within 35 feet of downed power lines because they might be energized. Call PSE at 1-888-225-5773 or 911 to report problems.

Empowering customers with money and energy saving options

PSE is always looking for ways to help customers lower their bills and use less energy. By listening to our customers, and incorporating their feedback, we’ve created more options that are easier than ever to access. In 2023, we added major billing assistance programs, simplified application processes, offered new ways to save energy, and connected with more community partners to spread the word in multiple languages.

Helping customers with their bills

We want all our customers to have access to support when they need it most. Our assistance programs can help with past due balances, payment plans, and getting back on track after COVID-19 and other setbacks.

In October 2023, we launched our Bill Discount Rate program that can help income-eligible customers reduce bills by 5% to 45% each month. To help customers enroll, we hosted over 200 activities that included sign-up workshops, presentations, and one-on-one appointments at libraries and nonprofits. Customers and community partners expressed gratitude for this impactful benefit that can be arranged within minutes.

Reducing bills through energy conservation

Customers can also lower their bills by using less energy. Our conservation programs continue to grow and evolve. As always, income-eligible customers can receive free home weatherization assistance and higher rebates on energy-efficient upgrades.

In 2023, we added several new programs, known collectively as PSE Flex, which offer financial incentives for reducing electricity use when system demand is high.

Identifying and removing barriers

To make all PSE customers feel included, we use accessible communication tools, host events and workshops, conduct surveys, and offer multi-language support, both in-person and online. In 2023, we added five languages to our website translation and hosted over 500 events to help customers access our various programs.

Our Energy Advisors are also easy to contact by phone or online. This team of experts can help customers save money by offering advice about efficiency, home upgrades, hiring a contractor, and rebate offers.
