Puget Sound Energy Begins Receiving Clean Energy from Vantage Wind Farm
The milestone delivers clean, reliable, cost-effective energy to over 26,000 Washington homes

Bellevue, Washington (10/21/2025) Puget Sound Energy (PSE), Washington state's largest utility, and Invenergy, the leading privately-held developer, owner and operator of sustainable energy solutions, announced that PSE has begun receiving power under its 15-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Invenergy's Vantage Wind Energy Center in Ellensburg, Washington. PSE is now acquiring all of the clean energy produced by the 90 MW facility, projected to total approximately 264,000 megawatt hours per year.

This milestone helps PSE as we work toward meeting Washington state’s clean energy targets, which are some of the most ambitious in the nation. Under the agreement, PSE is now purchasing enough energy from Invenergy to power just over 26,000 homes.

As one of the largest developers of clean and renewable energy projects in the world, Invenergy brings extensive experience to the partnership. The Vantage Wind Energy Center is an existing facility in central Washington state, which allows PSE to deliver power to its customers by maximizing existing, reliable renewables from an experienced operator.

"We're proud to deliver more clean energy to our customers," said Ron Roberts, PSE Senior Vice President of Energy Resources. "We do this as we continue our unwavering commitment to provide safe and reliable service to customers, 24 hours-a-day 7-days a week, even on the hottest and coldest days."

Invenergy and PSE understand access to reliable, cost-effective energy is essential for Washington communities and this partnership ensures the benefits of clean energy are distributed equitably and provide a strong foundation for building a more inclusive, carbon-free future. As part of the PPA, Invenergy and PSE are working together to track and report on customer benefits associated with the project to support PSE's Clean Energy Implementation Plan ("CEIP").

Since the passage of CETA in 2019, PSE has added more than 6,000 MW of renewable energy resources to its resource mix. About 2,033 MW of that generation comes from new resources from 11 projects built to serve the energy needs of our customers.
