Puget Sound Energy to cut ribbon on latest public charging station
PSE further expands its “Up & Go Electric” program

Bellevue, Washington (7/24/2025) Puget Sound Energy (PSE) is excited to announce its latest public charging station opening in the region, with the newest just a short drive off I-405 in Bothell, partnering with PMF Investments.

Since the launch of PSE’s Up & Go Electric for Public program in 2020, PSE has provided more than 580 MWh to drivers through their stations. This equates to over 58,000 gallons of gasoline saved and nearly 575 tons of CO2 avoided.

The newest charging station is located in the North Creek Plaza parking lot. Both PMF Investments and PSE prioritize sustainability and, like all other PSE Up & Go Electric for Public charging stations, energy used here will be matched with 100 percent renewable energy.

“We're proud to expand our Up & Go Electric network with this public charging station in partnership with PMF Investments," said PSE Director of Customer Energy Innovation John Mannetti. "By providing fast, accessible charging powered by 100% renewable energy, we're making it easier for drivers to choose electric vehicles while supporting both community emissions goals and PSE's commitment to reducing carbon emissions in our state. This convenient location off I-405 will serve the growing number of EV drivers in the Bothell area and beyond."

The new station will be maintained by PSE and features two DC fast-charging ports and four Level 2 charging ports that can charge almost any type of electric sedan or SUV. The station will be open 24/7 to all drivers, regardless of whether they are PSE customers.

“We are grateful for Puget Sound Energy’s commitment to our environment and sustainable energy as well as the City of Bothell and Mayor Thompson’s collaborative efforts to move this project forward to completion,” said PMF Investments president Brian Franklin. “We are excited for the citizens of Bothell, and visitors alike, to make use of this clean energy resource for their electrical vehicles while enjoying North Creek Plaza’s wonderful dining and shopping options.”

This is the first station PSE has installed in Bothell, which already has thousands of EV drivers ready to charge.

“We’re glad Bothell is recognized as a key location to expand EV infrastructure and we thank PSE for their partnership,” Bothell Deputy Mayor Rami Al-Kabra, said. “With more than 8,000 electric vehicles already registered in Bothell, and that number growing every day, investments like this are critical to helping meet our climate and transportation goals while breaking down barriers to EV adoption, especially for residents who live in multifamily housing or don’t have access to home charging.”

PSE will host a ribbon cutting, with interviews and video opportunities, on July 29 from 1 to 2 p.m.

Easy to use

All drivers – not just PSE customers – can use the EV Connect mobile app to take advantage of simple mobile payment options, monitor their charging sessions remotely, and more.

PSE, through our Up & Go Electric program, wants to make it as easy as possible for customers to save money and help the environment by accelerating widespread transportation electrification. To learn more about electric vehicles and Up & Go Electric, visit pse.com/electricvehicles.
