Save money and stay comfortable year-round with PSE’s income-qualified heat pump rebate

If you’re an income-qualified customer currently heating your home with natural gas, PSE offers a $4,000 rebate on a heat pump system. This program is designed to help eligible households make the switch to efficient electric heat pump systems. This upgrade boosts the energy efficiency of your home while providing year-round comfort through both heating and cooling.

Check if you qualify for this rebate here.

Features and Benefits

  • Significant energy savings. Heat pumps are just as reliable as other heating systems and can reduce your electricity use by up to 50% compared to furnaces and baseboard heaters. And they’re typically 2-3 times more efficient than gas furnaces.
  • The comfort of air-conditioning. Heat pumps are designed to add cooling as well as heating, making your home more comfortable year-round.
  • Improved air quality. Heat pumps offer better humidity control, air circulation, and filtration compared to gas heating systems. Depending on the heat pump model you choose, you can control your heat pump with a remote, mobile app, or smart thermostat.
  • Consistent, even heat. Heat pumps provide steady, comfortable temperatures without the hot/cold cycles you experience with traditional furnaces.
  • Works with your existing ductwork. If your home has ducting for your heating system, ducted heat pumps integrate seamlessly to help distribute warm and cool air to all parts of your home.
  • Ductless options available. No ducting in your home? Mini-split styles of heat pumps are perfect for ductless homes or for targeting heating/cooling in a specific area of your house.

What you get

Get a $4,000 rebate based on your income (see below for more details) when you replace your natural gas heating system with a qualifying air-source heat pump.
