PSE helps brighten Bainbridge Island streets
Hundreds of street lights upgraded with LED fixtures, saving thousands for the city

BELLEVUE, Wash. (1/3/2017) As part of its ongoing commitment to providing customers with energy efficiency incentives, Puget Sound Energy will be presenting the city of Bainbridge Island a $15,039 grant to retrofit 207 street lights with LED lighting.

The state-of-the-art fixtures feature photometric technology, engineered to keep light where it’s needed most—on sidewalks and roadways. The project will save the city over $12,000 a year, and the annual savings of 75,193 kWh is the equivalent of reducing greenhouse gases by 11.2 passenger vehicles for one year.
