PSE Senior Vice President Phil Bussey to retire

BELLEVUE, Wash. (11/29/2017) After 12 years as a senior vice president for Puget Sound Energy, Phil Bussey will retire on Jan. 5, 2018

Phil first joined PSE in 2003, as senior vice president of Corporate Affairs. In 2009, he left to take the role as chief operating officer of the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce. He returned to PSE in 2012 as senior vice president and Chief Customer Officer. He has been a champion in improving customer service and launching new renewable energy products such as Green Direct and Solar Choice.

“Phil’s commitment to our employees and the people we serve has made a tremendous impact on PSE and will be missed,” said PSE CEO Kimberly Harris. “Phil has brought an ability to see the big picture while never losing sight of the needs of the individual. I will miss his commitment to our people and to our values and for always championing doing the right thing. He is a person of great integrity and brings his compassion and caring to every decision.

In prior years, Phil was president of the Washington Roundtable, a public policy and advocacy group composed of chief executive officers of major companies throughout the state. Phil has held communications and management positions with Rockwell International, Westinghouse Electric Corporation, and the Aluminum Company of America (ALCOA).

Phil is involved with many business and community organizations, such as Challenge Seattle and the Washington Roundtable. In addition, he serves on the Boards of the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, The Bellevue Downtown Association, TVW, and the Boy Scouts of America.
