PSE COVID-19 Response

As a provider of an essential service, we are working to ensure we are here for our customers, our community and our employees as coronavirus impacts the region.

We know some of our business and residential customers might be worried about paying their bills. Here are measurable actions we’ve taken on behalf of our customers:

  • PSE will not be disconnecting customers for non-payment during this time.
  • During Governor Inslee’s “Stay Home – Stay Healthy” order, PSE will only respond to emergency and make-safe situations which require restoration of power or natural gas such as: outages, natural gas leaks/odors, and low-hanging wire. We will also be working to support the essential facilities and services as listed in Governor Inslee’s critical infrastructure throughout our community.
  • PSE will work with our customers on options such as payment plans and choosing a new bill due date.
  • PSE has an energy assistance portal to facilitate access to funds available to income qualified customers.
  • PSE is requiring our employees to maintain social distancing while working in the field. We encourage our customers to do the same when engaging with our employees.

COVID-19 UPDATE

Due to the ongoing concerns around COVID-19, also known as coronavirus, we will not be scheduling any Small Business Direct Install appointments for the time being. If you would like to schedule a future appointment, email smallbusiness@pse.com or call an Energy Advisor at 1-800-562-1482. We will however, continue to process new and existing incentive applications for contractor-installed work. We will resume all services when we can safely do so. Thank you for your understanding.

PSE's small business energy efficiency team is visiting communities all over the Puget Sound to conduct energy efficiency surveys and install free or low-cost energy solutions for small businesses. If you own or operate a small or medium sized farm, you are included in our small business energy efficiency program. You potentially qualify for everything listed below.

Energy upgrades
PSE offers easy ways to directly improve your workspace and increase savings, including:
  • A no-cost comprehensive assessment and energy savings report
  • Proposal including additional energy efficiency upgrade opportunities, if eligible
  • Installation of no-cost and low-cost energy saving products
  • Reduced energy use and savings on your bill
  • Improved work environment for employees and customers
Energy upgrade
Eligible businesses may be able to take advantage of these simple energy upgrades:
  • LED lighting: Fixture upgrades, exterior lighting, exit and open signs
  • Occupancy sensors: Sensor controls that turn off lighting when a space is unoccupied
  • Refrigeration: Display case lighting, energy-efficient replacement motors for low and medium temp coolers and display cases
  • Water savers: Low-flow faucet aerators, pre-rinse spray heads and showerheads
  • HVAC: Programmable thermostats, equipment assessments and referrals
