Heavy rain, isolated thunderstorms and strong wind gusts are expected from today into Tuesday, with the highest risk early Tuesday morning through Tuesday afternoon. These conditions may cause power outages.

Many trees are fully flushed with leaves. In stiff and gusty winds, that means they can topple more easily and damage power equipment, and branches can take flight and hit power lines.

Our crews are preparing and ready to respond as conditions allow. If outages occur, it can take at least 24 hours after the weather has passed to provide an initial estimated restoration time. Our first step is damage assessment—understanding the extent of damage and what repairs need to be made—once it is safe to do so.

Safety first:

  • Never touch or go within 35 feet of downed power lines because they might be energized.
  • Call PSE at 1-888-225-5773 or 911 to report problems.
  • If you’re using portable heaters, keep them away from furniture, draperies and other flammable materials.
  • Always use flashlights instead of candles.
  • Be aware of the dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning: Never install or use a generator indoors or in enclosed or partially enclosed areas, even those that are ventilated.

Owner allocation form

To start new service on behalf of your tenant, a completed signed authorization form is required prior to executing the Start Service transaction. In addition, signing up for an Owner Allocation Form with PSE ensures that there is no lapse in service and financial responsibility while allowing you to manage your properties online through MyPSE.

In some cases, service may be discontinued without a visit from a PSE representive.

With an Owner Allocation Form, you can use your online PSE account to start and stop service for vacant units.

Complete the form below to establish an Owner Allocation Form with PSE.

Agreement details

The property owner/manager agrees to:

  • Pay all energy charges when the unit is vacant
  • Notify PSE of any changes in occupancy
    • It is the responsibility of both the tenant and the property owner/manager to contact us regarding the change.
  • Provide PSE with the new billing address
    • If bills are returned as undeliverable and go unpaid, this agreement will be terminated and the energy service(s) will be scheduled for disconnection.
  • Inform PSE if the property is sold
    • The property owner/manager is responsible for all energy charges until we're notified.
  • Notify PSE immediately of discrepancies regarding tenant move-in or move-out dates
  • Both electric and natural gas services will automatically transfer to the property owner's account when tenants vacate the premises.
    • This includes any fuels added to the service during the time the Owner Allocation is active.
