Efficiency Boost

PSE created the Efficiency Boost program to offer higher rebates on energy-efficient upgrades to income-qualified customers. We want to help you work on improving the comfort and efficiency of your home without breaking the bank. These higher rebates can help put greater energy efficiency, and long-term utility bill savings, within reach.
To get started, refer to the income guidelines below for moderate-income customers. If you think you may qualify, or if you have questions, the next step is to contact an Energy Advisor at 1-800-562-1482 to establish eligibility. If you don’t qualify for Efficiency Boost, check out our standard residential rebates.

How it works
Weatherization, windows, water heat and space heat programs
- Review the income guidelines above, and contact an Energy Advisor (EA) to discuss eligibility. The EA will guide you through next steps and can provide referrals to Recommended Energy Professionals (REPs), who are approved to deliver Efficiency Boost rebates.
- Once you’ve selected a Recommended Energy Professional, they will ask you to sign an Income Qualification Form to confirm that you meet eligibility requirements prior to installation.
- After installation, the REP will submit your signed incentive application and Income Qualification Form to PSE and provide you with an instant rebate. Incentives will be paid directly to the REP, who will deduct the incentive amount from your invoice, reducing your out-of-pocket cost. You are responsible for paying the balance of the invoice.
Thermostats and appliances programs
- Review the income guidelines above. If you meet the income requirements for Efficiency Boost, complete an Income Qualification form.
- Submit the Income Qualification form along with your rebate application through PSE’s online rebate application portal or to an application email: HomeApplianceRebates@pse.com for clothes washer rebates and ThermostatRebates@pse.com for smart thermostat rebates.
- If your rebate is approved, a check will be mailed to you or you will receive credit on your account.
Other opportunities
If your household income is below the moderate income guidelines above, you may also qualify for additional assistance programs offered through PSE. Of important note, please check out the free home upgrade opportunities offered through Home Weatherization Assistance.
